Today is May 13 or 5/13... or 513, which also happens to be Greater Cincinnati's area code.
To commemorate the day, Camp Washington Chili is inviting fans to celebrate with a 513-Way, a goetta-infused version of the classic 3-Way.

The dish includes three slabs of Queen City Sausage goetta — a German sausage-oatmeal-meat mixture that's typically fried up on a griddle — covered in Cincinnati-style chili, beans, onion and cheese. Yes, that's right, no spaghetti. Blasphemous or ingenious?
The mastermind behind this Queen City masterpiece is the local photographer behind Stephen T. Photography, who posted an image of the culinary creation on his Instagram page in June 2019, noting that, "It's not a menu item (yet), but you can have it custom made at Camp Washington Chili, so stop in soon and try it out!"
The chili parlor reposted his image and caption and is now promoting Camp Washington Chili as the birthplace of this iconic, meaty mash-up.
The landmark dining destination at 3005 Colerain Ave. has temporarily changed its hours due to the pandemic to be open 24 hours a day Monday through Friday and closed on Saturday and Sunday. They say, "Please stop by our Drive Thru or come inside to place a Carry Out order."
