Good news for those of you who enjoy chicken salad: Chicken Salad Chick, the fast-casual restaurant devoted to the poultry creation, is coming to Oakley.

Slated to open Dec. 18, Chicken Salad Chick is an Alabama-based chain that literally specializes in different variations of chicken salad: traditional white meat with celery and mayo; Old South with sweet pickles and egg; Sassy Scotty with ranch, bacon and cheddar; Fancy Nancy with Fuji apples, seedless grapes and pecans... You get the idea. You can get the salad as a scoop or on a sandwich.

The forthcoming Oakley restaurant (3365 Vandercar Way) is Chicken Salad Chick's third Greater Cincinnati location, with additional locations in Mason and Anderson.

To celebrate its grand opening, the restaurant will be holding four days of giveaways, the first day being free chicken salad for a year for the first 100 guests. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday following opening day, the first 50 guests at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. will receive a variety of swag like tote bags, tumblers and blankets.

“This year, we’ve been able to grow our Ohio presence from zero locations to four, in truly welcoming Cincinnati and Columbus communities,” said Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick, in a press release. “While our team has been diligently working to expand our footprint in the state, it’s ultimately Chicken Salad Chick’s devoted guests that propel our growth in the area. Day after day we see repeat customers bringing in new family, friends and co-workers, which has increased curiosity and demand for the brand in cities across Ohio. We are thrilled that our journey has brought us to Oakley and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Chicken Salad Chick was founded in 2008 by Stacy Brown and includes more than a dozen chicken salad flavors, plus side salads, soups, pimento cheese, egg salad and a couple other non-chicken-salad sandwiches. Under Eagle Merchant Partners, the company now has 115 restaurants in 13 states.
