Northside Distilling, Cincinnati’s first distillery located within city limits since Prohibition, has shared some of their seasonal cocktails for our readers to try at home. There are bourbon, vodka and gin drinks to satisfy anyone's palate, including a cozy coffee drink and a twist on a traditional vodka cranberry.
The Conversation Starter
- 1 oz. Northside Bourbon
- 1 oz. pecan liqueur
- Coffee
Instructions: Pour the Northside Bourbon and pecan liqueur into a mug. Top with freshly-brewed coffee. Serve with your favorite after-dinner cookies or top with whipped cream.
You Look Good in Red
- 1 oz. Northside Vodka
- 1 ½ oz. cranberry juice
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- ½ oz. rosemary-infused simple syrup
- Champagne
Instructions: Combine Northside Vodka, cranberry juice, lemon juice and rosemary syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a mason jar and top with Champagne. Garnish with a rosemary sprig speared with fresh cranberries.
Pear-Cinnamon French 75
- 1 oz. Northside Gin
- 2 oz. pear juice
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- Champagne
Instruction: Combine Northside Gin, pear juice and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a coup glass or Champagne flute and top with Champagne. Garnish with a thin slice of pear and freshly-grated cinnamon.
