In light of Gov. Mike DeWine's decision to extend the closing of K-12 schools through May 1 instead of April 3, Cincinnati Public Schools is also making modifications to and extending its healthy food distribution program.

According to CPS, starting April 6, meals will be available to pick-up between 11 a.m. and noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday at select schools. Four meals — two breakfasts and two lunches — will be served on Mondays and Wednesdays and two meals — one breakfast and one lunch — will be served on Fridays on a first-come, first-served basis.

"We are adjusting the meal distribution time because most people were picking up their meals in the first hour," said Jessica Shelly, director of student dining services, in a release.

Meals will no longer be available at Withrow University High School or Frederick Douglass School due to demand, but will be available at Evanston Academy.  "Families living near Douglass are encouraged to pick up their meals at Evanston Academy," Shelly said.

Twenty three schools will be serving food. See the list below and get address details at cps-k12.org.

To pick up a meal, families with children between the ages of 1 and 18 years of age can drive-thru or walk up to the schools. Children do not need to be present. If you do drive-thru, please stay in your vehicle. And please note, food cannot be consumed on site.
