You may not be able to attend the rescheduled 146th-annual Kentucky Derby in person this month, but can you turn on the tube, don your most flamboyant fascinator and dig into a special themed feast to celebrate at home.
Cincinnati steakhouse Jeff Ruby's The Precinct is featuring a Kentucky Derby Weekend meal kit this week in honor of the holiday.
The enormous meal, priced at $200, serves 4-6 people and includes four 14 oz. USDA Prime Strip Steaks with Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse Seasoning; Benedictine and pimento cheese dips with crostini and crudité; Freddie Salad; mac and cheese; black-eyed pea salad with country ham and heirloom tomatoes; homemade biscuits with salted honey butter; a whole blackberry bourbon cream pie; and mint simple syrup with fresh mint to make your own Mint Juleps (with recipe included).
The Precinct is taking pre-orders through 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3 for the meal kit, and it will be available for curbside pick-up between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 and Saturday, Sept. 5.
A post on The Precinct's Facebook page says that they expect the kits to sell out, so put in your order sooner rather than later.
