Cincinnati's 10th-annual Asian Food Fest has moved its event date from Mother's Day weekend to August.

The culture and cuisine festival representing countries including Cambodia, China, Hawaii, India, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and more will now take place Aug. 8-9 on Freedom Way between Elm and Walnut streets at The Banks.

This free event features Asian eats from local restaurants, a fun "secret menu" dining section and lots of interactive elements and entertainment. Restaurant and food truck applications for Asian Food Fest are still being accepted at asianfoodfest.org.

“The 10th annual Asian Food Fest will be a show of support and celebration for great food and great friends. Asian culture is an integral part of the Cincinnati region. We’re eager to bring our neighbors together and wrap our arms around an industry and community hit especially hard by the COVID-19 crisis,” said Cynthia Oxley, director of Asian Food Fest, in a release. “We urge everyone to take advantage of carryout and delivery options from all establishments, including our Asian restaurant partners, during these unprecedented times.”

A portion of proceeds from the fest goes to the Asian American Cultural Association of Cincinnati to support other Asian cultural events in the city.
