College Hill's Brink Brewing Co. is hosting their annual chili cook off on Oct. 19.
The brewery welcomes all style of chilis in this culinary throwdown so home chefs can make red chili, green chili, vegetarian chili or white chicken chili. The only requirement is that each chili utilizes Brink beer as an ingredient.
There's no cost to enter to compete, but you must fill out this form by Oct. 9. The competition is limited to the first 40 entrants and you must be able to drop off one Crock Pot of chili, provide the Brink beer you used and bring your own accoutrements (sour cream, cheese, etc. if you want them); Brink will provided the bowls and spoons.
Chili will be judged by attendees as well as guest judges with awards for best in show, people's choice and each different category.
If you don't want to compete, but you do want to eat, get to the brewery from 1-4:30 p.m. Oct. 19 to cast your vote for the people's choice award and sample several chilis. Attendees can cast one vote per category.
