Boiled crawfish

If you're the type of person who likes a good ol' fashioned crawfish boil, make your way across the river May 16 for Coppin's family-style boil on the lawn.

Head to the courtyard at Hotel Covington for live music, all-you-can-eat crawfish, sides, dessert and one free Hurricane cocktail. Chef Mitch Arens spent some time in New Orleans, so expect full Louisiana flavor and probably a couple of boiled potatoes and some corn on the cob.

Cocktails and live music from Floyd and the Walkmen start at 6 p.m.; dinner starts at 7 p.m.

6-9 p.m. May 16. $69. Coppin's at Hotel Covington, 638 Madison Ave., Covington. Get tickets here.
