Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week kicks-off on Monday (April 16) with chef-made multi-course, prix fixe menus priced between $25-$35. And with liquor sponsors Maker’s Mark and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, some restaurants are also offering a specialty cocktail to pair with your meal.

Downtown’s Court Street Lobster Bar is offering the Casco Bay Mule ($8) made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka to accompany their $35 menu, featuring spicy crab dip, a lobster BLT and blueberry cobbler bites.

Many are familiar with the traditional Moscow Mule, made with vodka, ginger beer and lime, but Court Street puts their own twist on the drink, using fresh-grated ginger as well as bitters. Curtis Fowler, general manager of the Lobster Bar, explains, “That’s going to make it a little different — the bitters definitely give it a little kick and then you have the traditional copper mug that makes that drink so cold and tasty.”

While the cocktail isn’t a stranger to Court Street Lobster Bar’s menu, Fowler believes it will pair wonderfully with the menu items they’ve chosen for Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week. “It’s lighter. It’s not overly boozy, so it’s still is going to bring out all the great tastes in our lobster BLT roll,” he says. A crisp, summer-y beverage paired with fresh seafood is enough to convince any cold soul that warmer weather is on the way.
