Covington's annual Farm to Fork fundraising brunch is back this August, offering chef-prepared unlimited breakfast bites, a mid-morning cocktail, live music and market shopping — with proceeds benefiting the Covington Farmers Market.

The socially distanced event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Aug 23 on the Butler's Pantry patio, outside of the Towers of RiverCenter.

Chef Mitch Arens of Butler's Pantry will be preparing the farm fresh unlimited brunch, with ingredients straight from the farmers market. Guests can expect both meat and vegetarian-friendly dishes, as well as pastry pairings from North South Baking Co. and Rose & Mary — plus, of course, a seasonal cocktail and cash bar.

In addition to eats and drinks, guests will enjoy live music and a mini market with artisan vendor goods and farm items.

"You can always count on our Farm to Fork event to be the best meal of the year," said Alexa Abner, who manages the Farmers Market for Renaissance Covington, in a press release. "We decided to take a fresh direction by hosting a brunch instead of a traditional dinner, and we're scaling down the number of guests to safely accommodate everyone outdoors."

Tickets cost $40 in advance and can be purchased online; they are $50 at the door, and go toward the neighborhood market and its operations.

"This year's fundraiser is more important than ever, as we have incurred extra expenses to operate the weekly farmers market with the health and safety of our vendors and visitors as our top priority," Abner said. "We pride ourselves on hosting an event that is kind to the earth, while providing an experience that is as beautiful as it is delicious. The brunch is 'Zero Waste' AND Instagram-worthy."
