Covington's Braxton Brewing Company is getting in the Mardi Gras spirit with a Big Easy Bash on Fat Tuesday.
The party kicks off at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 with a crawfish boil feast, king cake, live music and, of course, plenty of beer.
The brewery is collaborating with Rich's Proper Food & Drink to offer a traditional Louisiana crawfish boil. There are two meals to choose from, both priced at $15: a half pound of crawfish and trimmings with a slice of king cake; or a half pound of Bluegrass Jambalaya (using Bluegrass Country Ham and local Andouille Sausage) with a slice of king cake. Whoever finds the baby in their cake wins a prize.
Pre-order meals are available and the deadline to purchase is Feb. 25 at noon. The event page directs those who have pre-ordered to head to the loft with your order confirmation and hop in the queue line to receive your meal. If you did not pre-order your meal, they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until they run out.
On the first floor of the brewery, The Hot Magnolias will be playing New Orleans-style music from 7-10 p.m.
5-10 p.m. Feb. 25. Braxton Brewing Company, 27 W. Seventh St., Covington.
