Covington's Libby's Southern Comfort celebrates its one year anniversary with a week full of food and drink deals

The restaurant will offer a different special each day, kicking off the party on Tuesday, Jan. 21 with a $10 two-piece chicken dinner and $5 Cheerwine bourbon slushies. On Wednesday, the eatery will offer a $4 kids' one-piece chicken dinner with a side and a biscuit, plus 50 percent off select wine bottles and $5 off private pick and vintage bourbons. Thursday, they'll offer 50 percent off of their vintage bourbons. And on Saturday, they're slinging $1 goetta hush puppies and Cheerwine bourbon slushies all day long.

In a Facebook post, the restaurant also teased some potential surprise deals sprinkled throughout the week.

The Southern-inspired eatery opened on Jan. 25, 2019 and is helmed by Brad Wainscott, whose father owns long-standing Kentucky mainstays The Greyhound Tavern and Tousey House Tavern. The restaurant pays tribute to Southern classics like fried chicken and half-shell oysters served alongside a variety of bourbon drinks and other local favorites.
