COVID-19 put the kibosh on Covington Irish bar Molly Malone's traditional giant St. Patrick's Day bash so the pub is pulling out all the stops for the September half-way point to the saint's name day.

"We missed out on St. Patrick’s day this March, closed the doors the day before on the 16th, there’s no changing that, but what we can do on Saturday the 19th of September (two days off, work with me) is have some great Irish fare, a few pints, or a few dram’s of your favourite whiskey, or both and listen to live Irish music on the patio and celebrate 1/2 way to St Patrick’s Day," says Molly's website.

So starting at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 19, you can walk in, take a seat and have a pint delivered to you. Kegs & Eggs starts at 8:30 a.m. and they'll also be serving a limited amount of green beer.

Brunch will be served until 1 p.m. and live bands will play at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. (Grey Dogs) and 6:30 p.m. (Liam's Fancy).

Wear your mask (when you aren't seated and consuming food or drink) and make sure to wear some festive green.

Make a reservation (they are strongly encouraged but not required) by calling them at 859-491-6659. Patrons are required to be seated and there is table service only.

Molly Malone's is located at 112 E. Fourth St., Covington. More info: covington.mollymalonesirishpub.com.
