Buona Vita Pizzeria, located in Crescent Springs, has announced their plans to close on March 9 via a Facebook post

According to the post, brothers and owners Matthew and Joseph Frommeyer are retiring from the restaurant business after over a decade.

"It is with sadness and joy that we announce the rumors are true. Buona vita Pizzeria will be closing the restaurant doors March 9th," the post reads. "We want to thank our family for believing in us, and supporting us on our dream. This journey would have never been the same without your support. We want to thank all the amazing people that we have been privileged to feed over the years. Many of you became so much more than regulars, you became our friends. We will miss seeing you on a regular basis. We also want to thank all the employees over the years! We could have never been able to do it without you."

Not all hope is lost for Buona Vita-lovers, though. The team plans to transition the business into a catering company.

Buona Vita Pizzeria opened in 2008, originally in Dayton, Kentucky. They eventually opened a second location in Crescent Springs and closed their Dayton location in 2016.

Buona Vita Pizzeria is known for its Italian fare, using recipes passed down from their families who came from the small Southern Italian town of Fuscaldo.
