The newest venture from Crown Restaurant Group, Five on Vine, has officially opened its doors in Over-the-Rhine with a menu that features twists on classic American cuisine.

Five on Vine is located in the The Mercer's former space at 1324 Vine St. CRG says it’s been a long-coming partnership between them and 3CDC that will breathe new life into OTR’s culinary scene. 3CDC senior commercial leasing officer Lindzie Gunnels adds that CRG’s roster of restaurants, including Losanti and Crown Republic, shows that they’re one of the best restaurant groups in the city.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with them on this new concept … and we’re confident this will become the newest hot spot on the Cincinnati food scene,” Gunnels said in a press release.

Five on Vine will be CRG’s fifth restaurant, with a menu they say focuses on the same values as their others, including authentic flavors, made-from-scratch food and culinary creativity.

“As a group, we are always thinking about the dining experience and how each dish is an opportunity for connection,” Anthony Sitek, co-owner and chef, said in a press release. “From where we source our ingredients, to how guests are greeted and taken care of at the table, our goal is to create a holistically nourishing experience.”

The menu is meant to represent CRG’s perspective on how American food traditions have evolved. It includes savory shareables like oysters and OTR Wellingtons (local sausage and mushrooms wrapped in puff pastry and served with whole grain mustard); handmade pastas, including a rotating, seasonal risotto and the Squid Ink Tagliatelle with lobster tail and a spicy lobster cream; and traditional entrees with a twist, like the Roasted Amish Chicken with kale panzanella and apricot jus or Gracie’s Meatloaf, which is made with prime beef, raisins, pine nuts and served with a roasted tomato sauce.

Five on Vine will also have a beverage program that highlights the restaurant’s selection of reserve cocktails made from premier spirits and a crafted collection of martinis.

You can make a reservation and see Five on Vine’s full menu on their website.
