Dojo Gelato will begin hosting its BAKED bakery pop-ups featuring made-from-scratch pastries and biscuits at its Northside location this spring.
The first pop-up will be held Sunday, April 4 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. — or until all dishes are sold out. People will be able to take their order to-go or dine on the Dojo patio.
Doug Faulkner (formerly of Take the Cake and Cake Rack Bakery) created the customized menu, which features items such as biscuit sandwiches, fruit kolache, "Little Chubbies" kolache with sausage and cheddar and Carriage House Farm’s wildflower honey butter. The menu will also include assorted pastries such as sweet and savory scones. Additionally, made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits are available for purchase.
While they’re there, people can pick up Dojo’s typical menu items of gelato and espresso.
Dojo Gelato held its inaugural bakery pop-up shop last year; items sold out very quickly.
According to the team behind Dojo, this year’s pop-up shop is the first of many planned for the Northside location.
The gelato shop hosts its season opening on Thursday, April 1. The creamery has confirmed via its event page that this is no April Fools' Day joke.
