Baüer Farm Kitchen is set to expand in mid-August via the culinary wiles of chef Jackson Rouse with a new German-themed coffee and lunch stop.

The expansion — dubbed Baüer Markt — will be located on the first floor of 435 Elm St., downtown. Baüer Farm Kitchen currently occupies the subterranean space below it.

Baüer Markt will serve “early morning and daytime favorites,” according to a press release. With a full espresso bar, patrons can sip (or chug) everything from cortados to macchiatos. The Markt's coffee will be sourced from Sharonville-based Coffee Make.

In terms of food, the press release cited Açai Bowls, breakfast sandwiches and other treats as staples. Plus, they’ll offer more than 68 sandwich and side combos — including a signature smoked pastrami sandwich — for lunch in addition to soups and salads. Most of the lunchtime and brunch offerings will stay around $8-$10.

“We are very proud to offer Cincinnati’s Germanic heritage with our new Baüer-by-day concept,” Rouse said in a press release. “Featuring all of this city’s ethnic-inspired favorites at an affordable price point for businessmen and women in the Central Business District, we hope to educate the palates in the region to the beauty of German cuisine.”

The barista bar is slated to open at 7 a.m., with market hours from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays. (Baüer Farm Kitchen is open from 5-9:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 5-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday).

Can’t escape the office? They plan to coordinate with a mobile food delivery service, too.  Either way, starting later this month you can get your Baüer fix any time of day.
