Findlay Market is extending its hours this spring to launch a new happy hour series at the Biergarten.
From May through October, the Findlay Market Biergarten will be open 4-8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday; 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
Sponsored by Christian Moerlein, the booze menu features a rotating lineup of local craft breweries — each Friday a special “Craft Beer Series” partner beer will be tapped. And market merchants will inspire a line of craft cocktails on the weekends, like a Casablanca Tea cocktail, using tea from Churchill’s, and a Market Mule made by Colonel De Gourmet Herbs and Spices.
Along with the later hours comes cheaper pricing. During 4-6 p.m. happy hours Tuesday-Friday, there’s $1 off draft beer and house wines at Market Wines, plus a special food menu. Get $1 off paninis from Bouchard’s and banh mi from Pho Lang Thang, $15 nacho trays from Mama Lo Hizo and Harvest Pizza delivery.
Other special events include:
Tuesday Mug Club — Buy a $7 Market Mug Club mug and from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesdays, get $1 off any draft beer (that means $2 off during happy hour).
Wednesday Market Muscles — Blend booze and fitness with $10 worksouts at 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday in the Farm Shed. Each workout includes a voucher for a free beer in the Biergarten.
Thursday Community Nights — Nonprofits and local arts groups will take over the Biergarten to provide entertainment.
Friday Findlay Folk — From 5-7 p.m. on Fridays, grab a beer while listening to local Folk bands.
Sunday Artist-in-Residence — Wind (wine?) down the week from 2-4 p.m. on Sundays with live music from a local artist in residence.
The Findlay Market Biergarten is located at 1801 Race St., Over-the-Rhine. Find full programming details at findlaymarket.org.
