The limited-time Cincy Chili Porter riffs on Taft's Maverick Chocolate Porter and is infused with Gold Star spices like cinnamon and dried chilis. The beer will be on tap at both Taft's Brewpourium in Spring Grove Village and Taft's Ale House in Over-the-Rhine on National Chili Day (while supplies last). The Brewpourium will also be serving some Gold Star chili dishes that same day, including Gold Star chili pizza and Gold Star loaded tots.

A portion of the proceeds from each beer ($1) will be donated to the Freestore Foodbank, a local nonprofit that strives to eliminate childhood hunger in the Greater Cincinnati area in addition to other causes.

Also on National Chili Day, for every 3-Way  (or 4- and 5-Way) purchased at any of the 75+ Gold Star locations, Gold Star will donate the cost of the 3-Way to the nonprofit. Gold Star and their customers have donated $112,000 and helped feed more than 20,000 children since partnering with the Freestore Foodbank in 2017.

If you can't make it to the restaurant or breweries on National Chili Day and still want to contribute to the cause, you can make a donation via their website. Gold Star is giving away BOGO 3-Way coupons as a gift for your donation.
