Graeter's Ice Cream and Rookwood Pottery have teamed up for a special collaboration this holiday season.
The ice cream shop announced in a press release on Oct. 24 that they will be offering limited-edition ice cream bowls featuring the Queen City's pride and joy, Fiona the hippo from the Cincinnati Zoo. Fiona stole hearts across the nation three years ago after being prematurely born and survived (and thrived) against the odds.
The spunky hippo princess can be seen on the bowl, which was designed by local artist Loren Long. According to the press release, it's "the perfect way to enjoy a scoop or two of Graeter’s Chunky Chunky Hippo ice cream, a signature flavor lovingly created to honor Fiona and her fans."
The Fiona bowl retails for $49.95 and is packaged in a Rookwood Pottery box. A portion of the proceeds from the special bowl go towards the Cincinnati Zoo.
A potentially perfect holiday gift, the bowls are available for purchase beginning 11 a.m. on Nov. 1 at six local Graeter's locations, including Deerfield (5076 Natorp Blvd.), West Chester (7651 Cox Road), Kenwood (7389 Kenwood Road), Harrison Greene (5649 Harrison Ave.), Fort Mitchell (301 Buttermilk Pike) and Cherry Grove (8533 Beechmont Ave.).
The limited-edition bowls are restricted to four per customer.
