Mother's Day is Sunday, May 10 and if you don't want to cook, these restaurants are offering something special.


This pre-made brunch includes enough to feed four to five people for $75. Orders must be placed before noon on May 8. The menu includes a casserole with sausage, potato, peppers, egg and cheddar (vegetarian option available), croissants with butter and jam, assorted fruit and a raspberry swirl cheesecake with the option to add on a mimosa bar for $20. Those with last names A-K can pick up their orders between 2-3 p.m. on May 9 and those with last names between L-Z between 3-4 p.m. May 9. The restaurant is offering a take-and-bake meal for four for $150 packed with shrimp cocktail and cocktail sauce, a Julius Caesar salad, Certified Angus Beef Chateaubriand (24oz) with steak butter and horseradish cream, creamed spinach, twice-baked potatoes, steamed asparagus, olive-oil-rubbed French batard with tapanade and a Pam Sturkey chocolate strawberry cheesecake cake. The meal includes a mushroom, kale and cheddar quiche or a Quiche Lorraine (bacon, leeks and gruyere cheese), plus a "Big" salad (farm greens, seasonal vegetables, hard-boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, olives, house vinaigrette) and chocolate pot de creme with fresh berries for $54. Jeff Ruby's The Precinct is offering four different steak-centric family meal kits that can be prepared at home, starting at $125 each. The kits serve four people and include multiple Jeff Ruby's steaks to grill, a Freddie Salad, baked mac and cheese, asparagus and a sourdough loaf from Sixteen Bricks Artisan Bakehouse. Customers can choose from four 8 oz. Black Angus filets ($125), four 14 oz. Prime New York strips ($125), four 16 oz. Prime Delmonico ribeyes ($155), or an "all in one" package ($140) that comes with two 8 oz. filets, one 14. oz New York strip and one 16 oz. ribeye. Substitutions are not available for the meal kits. The meal kits can be ordered online — so can Jeff Ruby's signature seasoning and a selection wine and beer — and picked up curbside. Forno is offering a special to feed four to six people. Pick-up times are noon-4 p.m. Saturday, May 9 and 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 10. Order 24 hours in advance.
