A guest visiting Oriental Wok's Hyde Park location left a rather generous tip for one of the restaurant's employees on March 14, proving that despite widespread uncertainty and fear with growing coronavirus concerns, the world is still looking out for each other.
The Chinese restaurant, a staple in the Greater Cincinnati area for over 40 years, posted a photo on their Facebook page of a check with a $1,000 tip, left on an order that totaled $64.74.
The photo posted on the restaurant's Facebook page was accompanied by a quote from the guests, and a note of gratitude from the restaurant.
"'Your family and staff has always taken such great care of us through the years, we know it’s going to be a tough few months.' Another example of the generosity of our incredible guests," the post read.
Currently, both the Hyde Park and Fort Mitchell locations will be offering carry-out only, with curbside pick-up available. Call 513-871-6888 to place an order at the Hyde Park location and 859-331-3000 to place an order at the Fort Mitchell location (closed on Mondays).
