Help Dayton Tornado Victims By Visiting These Cincinnati Breweries

Locally, area breweries have banded together to raise funds and collect donations for our neighbors to the north

A series of tornados and catastrophic storms swept through Ohio and Indiana on May 27, producing 11 tornadoes in the Buckeye State, according to the National Weather Service, killing one person and injuring dozens.

Emergency crews and volunteers are busy picking up the wreckage from those storms as other aid efforts take shape, including some in Cincinnati.

Locally, area breweries have banded together to raise funds and collect donations for our neighbors to the north.

If you're looking to do good while going out today and this weekend, here's how you can help and what you can drop off at the following locations:

  • Pendleton-based 3 Points Urban Brewery is collecting bottled water, non-perishable food items and clothing with little wear and spearheading and organizing the other brewery-based donations
  • On May 31, Milford-based Little Miami Brewing Co. is hosting a fundraising pint night where $1 from every pint of a new milk stout named Dayton Strong will go directly to relief efforts
  • On June 4, Brink Brewing Co. is hosting Brink for a Cause where $1 from each pint will go to the Red Cross in support of efforts in Dayton
  • Taft's is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear through June 2 and helping coordinate efforts
  • Dogberry Brewing is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear
  • Grainworks Brewing Company is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear and also donating two pallets of bottled water
  • Common Beer Co. is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear
  • Fibonacci Brewing Company is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear
  • Fifty West Brewing Company is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear
  • March First Brewing is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear
  • Rhinegeist is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear through June 2
  • Streetside Brewery is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear
  • West Side Brewing is accepting bottled water, non-perishable food and clothing with little wear

Taft's Brewing Co. and Grainworks Brewing Company will be driving a first batch of donated items to Dayton on the afternoon of Friday, May 31 and Rhinegeist will be doing an additional drop off on Monday, June 3.
