Hyde Park Square's new Mexican eatery Mesa Loca is showing its support for the community's dedicated health care workers, who are on the frontlines of fighting COVID-19.
The restaurant is offering a free meal to first responders and hospital workers on Wednesday, April 8 from 3:30-8:30 p.m. via their carry-out window.
“Due to the heightened concern regarding the spread of COVID-19, Mesa Loca would like to honor and give a special ‘thank you’ to all the men and women who put their own lives on the line every day and are serving those affected by this global pandemic,” said Mike Mercer, owner and partner of Peerless Entertainment & Culinary Group (which oversees Mesa Loca), in a press release.
In order to participate, first responders and hospital employees must bring their ID. The restaurant is offering one meal per customer.
