In April of 2020, local deli chain Izzy's dedicated a special reuben to Cincinnati Bengals draft pick Joe Burrow.

Well, that sandwich is back for a limited time to celebrate Burrow and the team's game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday during Wild Card Weekend for the NFL Playoffs.

Izzy's Bengal King sandwich is described as "an overstuffed reuben served on grilled marble rye with a potato pancake and pickles." For $11.99, the dish features Izzy's corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and Swiss cheese.

“Joe is an Ohio native and now primed to lead the Bengals back to greatness – and it starts this weekend,” said Izzy’s president John Geisen in a release. “Everyone is proud of everything he and the Bengals have achieved this season and excited to see where he can lead them – the time to bring back The Bengal King has never been better.”

Izzy's says the Bengal King will be available starting Jan. 14 "for a limited time." Get more information and find an Izzy's location at izzys.com.

Izzy's is a frequent winner of best deli in the Best Of Cincinnati readers poll, which is now live for 2022.

And Izzy's isn't the only restaurant offering a Burrow-themed dish in celebration of the Bengals game. Jeff Ruby's local steakhouses are also giving away a free Burrow-themed Creole crawfish sauce steak topper with every meal kit purchase this weekend (Burrow was a quarterback for Louisiana State University, hence the Creole theme).
