Jacob Trevino, owner of hospitality brand Gorilla Cinema Presents which runs popular Cincinnati bars and restaurants like Overlook Lodge, The Video Archive, Tokyo Kitty and The Lonely Pine Steakhouse, is hosting a gift card telethon to raise funds for his brand's staff members today (March 18) amidst closures related to coronavirus.
The telethon runs from 4-8 p.m. and will be live streamed from Trevino's personal Facebook page as he visits each of the establishments, as well as each bar or restaurant's social media accounts. Supporters are encouraged to call each bar directly to purchase, or stop in and buy a gift card in person. The gift cards work at all Gorilla Cinema Presents establishments. There are special bonus gifts given away for hitting purchase markers depending on the bar you call.
Below are the following exclusive prizes available from each bar:
Tokyo Kitty Special Gift Card Items: First person to purchase a $300 gift card will receive free bottle service up to $175; the highest gift card purchased will receive a private happy hour for up to 20 people for two hours and a bar tab up to $500.
La Ofrenda Gift Card Items: First person to purchase a $300 gift card will receive a private tequila class for up to five people; highest gift card purchase will receive a personalized stool, "the stool is your official stool for LIFE!" the email from Gorilla Cinema reads.
Video Archive Gift Card Items: First person to purchase a $300 gift card gets to pick the Summer Cinema movie and receives a catered themed picnic from Lonely Pine Steakhouse for up to five people; highest gift card purchaser will receive a Harry Potter-themed happy hour for up to 20 people for two hours with a $500 bar tab.
Golden Sparrow Gift Card Items: First person to purchase a $300 gift card will receive a private happy hour for up to 10 guests for two hours with food and draft beer included; highest gift card purchaser will win VIP tickets to Bunbury Music Festival.
Lonely Pine Steakhouse Gift Card Items: First person to purchase a $300 gift card will receive a private four-course dinner with wine pairings for up to four guests; highest gift card purchaser will have a steak named after them.
Overlook Lodge Gift Card Items: First person to purchase a $500 gift card will have their name added to the back of one of the bar stools; highest gift card purchaser will receive a happy hour tour with transportation included of all Gorilla Cinema bars for you and five guests, with dinner at Lonely Pine Steakhouse included.
