Easter meal-kit spread

Easter weekend is just around the corner, and Queen City-based steakhouse Jeff Ruby's wants to make your day a little easier.

The eatery's Easter meal kits are now available for pre-order (warning: there's a limited number available). Each kit serves up to six people and will be available for pick-up from April 1 through April 4. The kits cost $285 and require “simple preparation” of the assorted menu items.

The meal kit includes two 2-pound tenderloins with Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse seasoning, spinach lasagna and a sourdough round from Sixteen Bricks Artisan, as well as six-cheese hash brown potatoes, glazed baby carrots and a strawberry-ginger salad. For dessert, the meal kit features a whole lemon-blueberry butter pie.

The tenderloins are uncooked and require a “pop-in-the-oven” approach, according to the Jeff Ruby team. The sides will also need to be prepared in an oven. The pie will come pre-cooked and only requires heating. In addition to the packaged food items, the meal kits include step-by-step cooking instructions.

You can also add dishes such as macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, king crab, jumbo shrimp and selected wines to “enhance” the kit for an additional fee.

In the meal kit’s description page, the team at Jeff Ruby's encourages those interested to pre-order as soon as possible because kits are limited. During the pre-order, the customer can select the date, time and location of the pick-up. Meal kits can be picked up at The Precinct, Carlo & Johnny and Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse.
