Lydia's on Ludlow, an eatery located in Clifton's Gaslight District, has announced its closure. The eatery officially closed its doors on Feb. 17 and owner Lydia Stec explained her reasoning for her decision via a Facebook post

The post expressed her love for the community and her patrons but explained that it was time for her to say goodbye, noting the street-wide recession and exhaustion that comes with owning a business.

Many longtime customers of the restaurant shared their sentiments on the post.

The restaurant offered homemade soups, salads and weekend brunch with local and organic ingredients, as well as beer, wine and cocktails. They also hosted live music throughout the week.
