Margarita Madness is Taking Over the Purple People Bridge May 19

Guest judges like Molly Wellmann will be on hand to decide the winners of the best and most creative margaritas, and attendees can vote for the People's Choice for best margarita.

On Friday, May 19, Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky will be united by not only bridges, but their love of margaritas at the ninth-annual Margarita Madness.

This high-energy event on the Purple People Bridge is fueled by Milagro Tequila and features delicious local food, live music and some healthy competition as bars and restaurants battle it out to see who has the best and most creative margaritas. Prominent Cincinnatians like Molly Wellmann will be serving as guest judges to decide the winners. Attendees will also get to vote for the winner of the People’s Choice award for best margarita.

Margaritas available to sample will include Agave & Rye’s OG Margarita, Bakersfield’s Lemon Margarita and Somerset’s Ube Margarita. Other competitors include:

  • Cheba Hut
  • Condado
  • El Barril
  • Local Cantina
  • Mazunte
  • Mi Cozumel
  • Nada
  • Shiners on the Levee

Guests will also get to chow down on chips, various dips, elote and more while listening to the band TIMESTAMP, who will be playing some of the biggest hits of the ‘80s and ‘90s.

The Purple People Bridge can be accessed from Newport on the Levee (1 Levee Way, Newport) or from the corner of E. Pete Rose Way and Butler Street in downtown Cincinnati.
