Cincinnati is joining a statewide effort to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Hispanic Chamber of Cincinnati USA, Vibe Cincinnati and the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau will present the inaugural Cincy Sabroso as part of Latino Restaurant Week in Ohio. During Cincy Sabroso ("sabroso" means "tasty"), the region will celebrate Hispanic and Latino culture through food.
The week-long event will be held Sunday, Oct. 3-Sunday, Oct. 10. Before and during the celebration, the Cincy Sabroso website will feature a list of participating businesses as well as special promotions.
An emailed press release says that this will be the first time that all Hispanic Chambers of Commerce throughout Ohio have organized simultaneous celebrations.
"As we celebrate Cincinnati’s diverse communities with authentic experiences, it is important that we are innovative and bold on touting our many Latino-owned restaurants. We are open for business to all,” Jason Dunn, group vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion at the Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau, says in a release.

National Hispanic Heritage Month runs Sept. 15-Oct. 15 and recognizes the contributions that Hispanic communities and Latinx trailblazers throughout the country have made.
