OTR's Park + Vine held a very special place in the hearts of vegan and non-vegan eaters alike across the Queen City. The cafe/retailer which focused on green living, offering vegan food staples, green cleaning products and environmentally mindful apparel and furniture, closed its doors in January 2017.
Though about a year has passed since the shop closed, Park + Vine founder Dan Korman and his team have been busy working on a project so that the beloved cafe will live on in kitchens across the world. The Park + Vine Cookbook contains more than 50 recipes compiled from its last three years of business including P+V fan favorites like buffalo tofu, tempeh toonah and more. In addition to recipes, the book also contains kitchen tips, insider secrets and special notes.
The book is available on Dec. 10 for purchase online at Amazon.com and will be available soon at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Norwood.
In celebration of the book's release, a launch party will be held at Northside's The Kitchen Factory on Dec. 22. Meet and greet Park + Vine chef Zef Vesel and founder Danny Korman (who will be virtually present — we hope via hologram) along with other book collaborators during the community event. Copies of the cookbook will be available ($19.99) as will a new Park + Vine T-shirt. The event will offer vegan bites made by The Kitchen Factory owner Melissa Cox Howard, who started P+V's lunch counter prior to her opening up the Northside pizza shop.
Park + Vine Cookbook Release Party: Noon-3 p.m. Dec. 22. The Kitchen Factory, 1609 Chase Ave., Northside.
