The Rhined celebrates two years of providing the Queen City with top-quality cheeses, charcuterie, wine and good times on Friday, July 12.
Co-owners (and kick-ass power couple) Stephanie and Dave Webster opened their Over-the-Rhine shop in the summer of 2017. To celebrate and thank the community for two successful years, they're throwing a cheese party.
There will be an hourly cheese sale, featuring 40 percent off of various cheeses throughout the day; a Rhinegeist tap takeover; cheese pairings; temporary cheese tattoos; plenty of champagne; and — drumroll please — raclette nachos starting at 4 p.m. Yum.
The little slice of cheese heaven is located across from Findlay Market. The artisan shop stocks a collection of the best hand-selected domestic cheeses, plus wine, beer, nuts, olives and jams to accompany the dairy of your dreams.
On top of their excellent selection of cheese, which you can grab to go by weight or eat inside on a curated cheese board, they also offer a specialty sandwich of the week, adult "lunchables" and seasonal specialty nights like Raclette Night, where they heat and scrape raclette cheese (a type of Swiss) onto a selection of goodies like potatoes, veggies and charcuterie, or evenings devoted to hand-stretched mozzarella with weekly pairings.
The Rhined's two-year anniversary party will take place 10 a.m.-10 p.m. July 12. The Rhined, 1737 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine.
