Juan Imeroni of Cincinnati restaurant group Ignite Entertainment is continuing to expand his empire with the new Ché Empanadas y Más.
The casual eatery — focused on Argentina's beloved street food, the empanada — will take over the space formerly occupied by Green Dog Cafe next to Imeroni's Pampas Argentine Gastropub in O'Bryonville.
Ché Empanadas y Más is slated to open Nov. 3 and will be Imeroni's 13th Greater Cincinnati dining and drinking destination. Ignite also operates Ché's in Over-the-Rhine, The View at Shires Garden, The Butcher and Barrel, Kon-Tiki on the Levee and others.

According to a release from Ignite, the menu will feature "Ché’s famous empanadas with additional scratch-made offerings, and a full-service bar featuring handcrafted cocktails, wine and beer."
The empanadas will be available for dine-in, carry-out and frozen (to take home and bake). Other specialties will include personal pizzas, with South American-inspired toppings; charcuterie boards; soup; salads; house-baked bread; and "bombas," which are Spanish/South American croquettes.
Ignite says the interior of Ché Empanadas y Más has been transformed from when it was Green Dog Cafe and now includes the same "eclectic vibes, carefully selected family heirlooms and artifacts, and unique design elements, as experienced at Ché in Over-the-Rhine."
Ché Empanadas y Más is located at 3009 O'Bryon St., O'Bryonville and will be open at 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with plans to expand hours in the future. They are not taking reservations at this time.
