While developments in the COVID-19 pandemic continue to pour out all over the world and people are largely confined to their homes, people are yearning for life’s smallest joys now more than ever. As a Cincinnatian, you’re probably thinking you’d like to hit one of the city’s many breweries and get back to chopping it up with your friends.

One local bar is trying to do just that, albeit virtually. Scotland-based brewery BrewDog, who houses their American HQ in Columbus and operates a larger BrewDog taproom in Pendleton, announced the opening of a digital bar.

The BrewDog online bar will open its virtual doors at 2 p.m. Friday, March 27 to patrons (21 and over). Attendees will able to take part in live beer tastings, quizzes and Q&As with BrewDog co-founders James Watt and Martin Dickie.

In addition to the sessions with Watt and Dickie, BrewDog will be hosting online local bar sessions, so regulars and patrons of Cincinnati’s BrewDog location can log on, interact and virtually share a beer with fellow customers and friends.

BrewDog will be announcing further details and plans regarding the online sessions on their Instagram and Twitter accounts.

To stock up for the online bar, you can grab BrewDog crafts from local retailers or by visiting shopusa.brewdog.com.
