Cleveland-based brewery Platform Beer Co. is celebrating their sixth anniversary by doing what they do best — creating tasty collaboration brews.
Platform is teaming up with three different Ohio eateries to feature a beer inspired by a dessert from each businesses.
“At Platform, we enjoy working with local businesses in our communities. Cleveland Cookie Dough Co., The BonBonerie, and Schmidt’s Sausage Haus have been great partners over the years, so when searching for partners for a dessert themed mix pack it was a no-brainer,” says Justin Carson, Platform co-founder, in a press release.
The brand is selling mixed six-packs featuring the sour brews with two 12-ounce cans of each — including Key Lime Cookie Dough (5.6% ABV), inspired by Cleveland Cookie Dough Company; Pink Lemonade Cake (5.4% ABV), inspired by Cincinnati's The BonBonerie; and Blueberry Creampuff (8.5% ABV), inspired by Columbus' Schmidt's Sausage Haus und Restaurant.
Visit their Cincinnati, Columbus or Cleveland locations beginning at 3 p.m. on June 19 for the chance to score a lil' something sweet. The first 50 guests to Over-the-Rhine's LOCOBA tasting room will enjoy a strawberry lemonade cookie from The BonBonerie. The first 100 guests at the Columbus and Cleveland drinkeries will also get their hands on a dessert that inspired the brews.
Over-the-Rhine's LOCOBA is taking preorders for the six-pack now, and they will be available for purchase or delivery beginning June 19.
Platform is hosting a series of Facebook Live events where co-founder Paul Benner will speak with the collaborating businesses. The first will take place at noon on June 17 with Cincinnati's BonBonerie; next will be at 5 p.m. on June 18 with Schmidt's in Columbus; and then at 3 p.m. on June 19 with Cleveland Cookie Dough Company.
