Chef Kayla Robison of Downtown's Arnold's Bar and Grill has made "staying at home" during the Ohio-wide efforts to help flatten the COVID-19 curve a more tolerable and fun experience with her weekly Facebook live cooking series.
"Quarantine Cooking With Kayla" guides viewers on a step-by-step process for how to make a variety of staple dishes, ranging from cooking the perfect steak to fried chicken with goetta gravy and Coq Au Vin.
And starting this week, you can now skip a trip to the grocery store and pick up a prepared DIY meal kit to cook alongside Kayla at home.
This week's featured recipe is Chef Kayla's winning meal from when she competed on Guy's Grocery Games: creamy pistachio basil pesto pasta. Each kit costs $30, serves two and includes all of the pre-measured ingredients needed to create the meal. The corresponding Facebook Live session takes place at 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 26.
Meal kits must be ordered by 3 p.m. on Wednesday and are available for pick-up from noon-8 p.m. on Friday.
