Rhinegeist Brewery and name, image and likeness (NIL) organization Cincy Reigns are teaming up on a new brew to help local student-athletes.

Cincy Reigns is a NIL fundraising collective that helps student-athletes at the University of Cincinnati monetize their personal brands and supports philanthropic initiatives across Greater Cincinnati. With the help of Rhinegeist, they’re releasing the co-branded beer Cincy Light.

Cincy Light is described as an easy-drinking light lager with a crisp, refreshing taste that captures the spirit of the Queen City. The brands say it’s the perfect drink for tailgating, taking in a game or unwinding with friends.

Rhinegeist says it’s dedicated to building lasting communities in Cincinnati by bringing people together through its beer, and this joint effort with Cincy Reigns allows them to merge its community focus with supporting local athletics.

"We are honored to join forces with Cincy Reigns Collective, an organization that shares our dedication to community engagement and support for Cincinnati,” Adam Bankovich, interim CEO of Rhinegeist and a UC alum, said in a release. “Cincy Light offers not only a unique beer experience for fans, but also creates a positive impact on our community. As a long-standing partner of UC Athletics, we look forward to furthering our commitment to the city and the department. As a bonus, we have several UC graduates on our in-house design team, and they had an absolute blast working on this project!"

Likewise, Cincy Reigns says its partnership with Rhinegeist will allow them to continue its mission through exclusive fundraising events at the brewery, and a portion of the retail sales from the collaboration will also go toward NIL efforts for UC’s student-athletes.

"We are thrilled to partner with Rhinegeist, a company that shares our passion for championing the Cincinnati community and bringing people together around a cause,” Brian Fox, chair of the Cincy Reigns board of directors, said in the release. “This one-of-a-kind collaboration will not only produce a delightful beer for fans to appreciate but also significantly impact the lives of the student-athletes we serve and the local charities we endorse."

Fox adds this is a game-changing partnership for Cincy Reigns that can elevate the Bearcats to the next level as they transition into the Big 12 this summer and aim to compete for championships as a newly minted “Power 5” program.

Cincy Light will be available wherever Rhinegeist beer is sold.
