Rhinegeist is closing its Over-the-Rhine taproom (1910 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine) for the "immediate future" to ensure the safety of its employees and the general public amid concerns over the coronavirus pandemic and Gov. Mike DeWine's executive order prohibiting gatherings of 100 people or more.
According to a Facebook post, the brewery says, "To ensure the safety of our customers, employees and our community we are following the Governor’s directive on large gatherings and are going to close the taproom for the immediate future, beginning Friday March 13th.
We will be evaluating the situation daily but for now, our priority is to protect our customers, staff, and their families and do what we can to keep our community healthy. Our employees have been encouraged to stay home if they are feeling unwell and team members have also been briefed on CDC best practices to prevent the spread of viruses."
They have not given a reopening date. Follow Rhinegeist on Facebook for the latest.
