Taco lovers, rejoice! A whole weekend devoted to one of the most beloved (and versatile) tortilla-based creations is taking place this weekend (June 25-27) on the recently revitalized Covington Plaza.
Dubbed the Rockin Taco Festival, the free, three-day event is sponsored by FedEx Ground and will feature menus from five local restaurants, live entertainment all weekend and plenty of boozy and non-boozy bevs to wash it all down.
Restaurant vendors include award-winning Greater Cincinnati eatery Mazunte, Montez Mexican Cafe, Taco Dan's, Glier's Goetta and Latin Taste Grill.
Menu items range from traditional tacos to wild infusions and creations like goetta or Philly cheesesteak tacos, plus nachos, street corn, churros and other tasty eats and treats.
The event page hints that the fest will feature a wide variety of drinks including frozen margs.
Live music and entertainment is scheduled throughout the weekend, including the Armador Sisters on Friday night, free salsa dance classes on Saturday, and the Cincy Brazil Samba Dance on Sunday. See the full line-up below:
