Shires’ Cafe Eatery and Market Opens Downstairs from The View at Shires' Garden Downtown

A new cafe and grab-and-go market has opened downtown.

Ignite Entertainment, the team behind The View at Shires' Garden — the drinking and dining destination on the rooftop of the City Club Apartments downtown — hosted the grand opening of Shires' Cafe this weekend, located on the ground floor of the same building.

According to a release, the cafe offers everything from housemade baked goods, cocktails and kombucha to local Pneuma Coffee, sandwiches and take-and-bake Che's empanadas (Ignite also operates Che). The market portion features snacks, drinks and even T-shirts for purchase, along with assorted sundries — things like Tylenol and toothpaste.

A lounge area adjacent to the cafe  lets guests enjoy "the selections at their own pace, work outside of the office, or relax and have a drink," per a release.

"We want to offer the community something we felt was missing from this part of downtown,” said Ignite Entertainment founder Juan Imeroni. “Not only will Shires’ Cafe serve the residents and guests of the City Club, but the office workers that are back at their desks post-pandemic, and those spending time in our buzzing urban core. We’re excited to see the city coming back to life, and thrilled to be a part of the action.”

Shires' Cafe is located at 309 Vine St., Downtown. It is currently open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. daily, with plans to expand hours in the future. For more info and to see a full menu of offerings, visit shirescafe.com.
