Local English pub chain Cock & Bull closed down its Hyde Park location last Monday. The pub is known for its generous tap offerings, staples like fish and chips and specialty nights like Pint Night.

According to Director of Marketing Robin Feltner, none of the other Cock & Bull locations will be closing (they have pubs in Glendale, MainStrasse and on Short Vine in Corryville), but they felt that this particular eatery could use a refresh.

"We have found that Hyde Park Square may be a location that needs to reinvent itself every few years. We opened it in 2011 and had incredible success in that location. However, we feel that location needs a new concept at this time to stay on trend with the area," she says.

They plan to open up a "higher-end" new concept in the space this summer.

"We feel this will serve that property as a better fit at this time," Feltner says.

More details will be announced as the opening date approaches.
