Sixteen Bricks bakery is launching a series of pop-ups named Sixteen Bricks X (16BX), each featuring a menu centered around baker Ryan Morgan's cult favorite bread.

According to a release, 16BX is a "one-of-a-kind experience featuring Sixteen Bricks Bread. It’s a celebration of the Cincinnati food community, leveraging Morgan’s relationships with chefs and restaurant owners. Each pop-up will feature a unique menu born from two disparate minds finding common ground, making bread magic."

The first pop-up will take place at Longfellow's Other Room (109 E. 13th St., Over-the-Rhine) on Monday, Sept. 23 and will focus on hand-pies. The event starts at 8 p.m. and hand-pies cost $5 each.

The second 16BX event takes place at Oakley Wines (4011 Allston St., Oakley) on Thursday, Oct. 24 and is themed "Grapes and Wheat." Here's the description from the press release: "Step into the cellar with Sixteen Bricks for a bread and wine tasting that will wake up your taste buds to power of a good harvest. From field to table, let’s embrace what nature has to offer." The event starts at 6:30 p.m. in the downstairs Cellar bar.

The third and final pop-up takes place at HomeMakers Bar (35 E. 13th St., Over-the-Rhine) on Thursday, Nov. 14. It will be a take on Friendsgiving but "casual, (with) a dash of style, fresh libations and something tasty in the oven." The event starts at 6:30 p.m.

Head baker and owner Morgan has been producing Sixteen Bricks bread for almost a decade using natural fermentation, unbleached and umbromated wheat flour, water, sea salt and yeast to craft his sought-after staple, found on restaurant menus including at Bouquet Restaurant & Wine Bar, Eighth & English, Panino, Taglio, A Tavola and Goose & Elder.
