Online publication Insider recently released a round-up highlighting the best chicken sandwiches in every state available for carry-out, based on Yelp reviews (and a number of other metrics).

And — while it's no surprise to us — our very own Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey was recognized as No. 1 in the Buckeye State for its mouthwatering Yukon sandwich.

The wildly popular fried chicken sandwich is covered with sawmill gravy, and features bacon and smoked cheddar cheese tucked between two buttery biscuits.

Each state representative includes a Yelp review to accompany the winner, and reviewer Antonio P. expressed his love for the sandwich with much passion.

"The flavor combo makes me feel like I'm cheating on my wife. The chicken is seasoned perfectly and the crispy crunchy layer before you get to the juicy inside is where it's at. I could put that gravy in a glass and drink it," his review read.

In order to select the sandwiches listed in the round-up, "Yelp identified businesses in the restaurants and food categories with a large concentration of reviews mentioning 'fried chicken,' then ranked those spots using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning 'fried chicken,'" the article reads.

"When available, all businesses on this list also had to have a passing health score or a score greater than a B/80 as of July 1, 2020," it goes on to explain.

Other Tri-State sandwiches that made the list include Louisville's Biscuit Belly and Shani's Secret Chicken in Indianapolis.
