These Cincinnati Breweries Have Reopened Their Taprooms to the Public

They won't exactly be the same crammed-together convivial beer halls of even just a few months ago, but they'll still be offering that same spirit of togetherness, along with house-brewed libations

Cincinnati is well known for its relationship with beer; our hoppy history is built on a foundation of the favorite beverage. And we drink plenty of it, possibly now more than ever. According to Nielsen, Ohio beer sales were up 38 percent for the week ending March 14 — the week before our stay at home order went into effect — over that same period in 2019.

Which is why it's probably welcome news to many that these Greater Cincinnati taprooms have reopened their doors in accordance with Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine's Responsible RestartOhio indoor dining guidelines

They won't exactly be the same crammed-together convivial beer halls of even just a few months ago, but they'll still be offering that same spirit of togetherness, along with house-brewed libations, to help people reconnect with some sense of normalcy and human interaction.

Fretboard Brewing

Fretboard posted to its Facebook page (abbreviated here), "We just wanted to share some of the details with our reopening. (We we’ll keep it concise, but please don’t hesitate to shoot us a message if you have any questions or concerns): The taproom space has been rearranged to maximize occupancy while complying with the 6’ distancing. There will be no bar top seating and ask that everyone pay attention to the markings on the floor when ordering beer. Patrons are not required to wear masks, though they are encouraged when waiting to order. Staff will be required to wear masks at all times. Sanitation stations will be set up around the taproom, along with the accessible bathrooms. We ask that once you find a table, please stay seated (or if standing at a high top) unless to order or use bathrooms. Children are still welcome in the taproom but must remain at their tables. Smoked Out Cincy BBQ is OPEN! Billiards, foosball, and board games are on hold until further notice. Please know that if you’re not comfortable being out yet, we are still offering carryout, curbside pickup (just give us a call), and online ordering/shipping is still going strong." We’re officially back open at noon today. @seacuisinefoodtruck will be serving up food at 3p. Please be patient, understanding, and kind. Green = more beer. (4) Sitting room only. Please remain seated and at your table. (5) DO NOT MOVE THE TABLES OR CHAIRS..This is not up for debate or discussion. We’ve got 18 beers on tap. Even with the new rules and guidelines, there’s plenty of fun to be had." More info at facebook.com/westsidebrewing.
