The Madly Thankful Thanksgiving Feast

Cincinnati vegan cheese brand Mad Cheese is teaming up with a local meal delivery service and bakery to provide vegan and gluten-friendly meals this Thanksgiving.

Mad Cheese, plant-based meal service Juniper Seed and Beyond Grain Bakery, which specializes in low-carb, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free baked goods, have crafted a plant-based Thanksgiving menu that can feed four to six people. The entire Madly Thankful Thanksgiving Feast is $225, or you can order items a la carte.

The menu includes:

Madly Thankful Roast: A pea protein-based “turkey” roast featuring a crisp rice paper “skin” and gluten-free stuffing. ($50 a la carte; comes frozen)

Madly Good Gravy ($20 a la carte; comes frozen)

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Cinnamon Roasted Butternut Squash and Brussels (Contains pecans): Maple-roasted Brussels sprouts and spiced butternut squash

Green Bean Casserole: Fresh green beans in scratch-made gluten-free and vegan cream of mushroom soup

Cranberry Relish: Chopped fresh cranberries, apples and pecans

Orange Rolls and Herbed Butter (Contains wheat): Hand-rolled and twisted dinner knots served with fresh herb-infused butter.

You can order all five sides a la carte for $155, or contact [email protected] for individual side pricing and pickup arrangements.

Cincinnati Vegan Cheese Brand to Open First Storefront in Madisonville: Mad Cheese's owner says she tests over 100 recipes to get her vegan products as close to the real thing as possible.

For dessert, Beyond Grain Bakery is offering three vegan, gluten-friendly and refined sugar-free options for $35 each:

Pumpkin Ginger Pie: Creamy pumpkin filling with ginger in a flaky crust

Date Tahini Swirl Banana Cake (Contains sesame and almonds): Naturally sweetened date and banana cake with swirls of tahini

"Snickers" Tart (Contains peanuts): Vegan and gluten-friendly with peanuts, caramel and chocolate

Coordinate a la carte dessert pickup with Beyond Grain Bakery by emailing [email protected].

You can either have your meal delivered in the Greater Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky area for $15 or pick it up from one of three locations:

Mad Cheese (5903 1/2 Bramble Ave., Madisonville)
Findlay Kitchen (1719 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine)
Elevate NKY (2511 Anderson Road, Crescent Springs)

Pickup dates and time windows include 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 1-3 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 20-22. Orders can be placed at madcheese.com until Thursday, Nov. 16 or sell out.

Good Plates Eatery 235 W. McMillan St., Clifton Good Plates focuses on simple foods and bold flavors, offering a variety of sandwiches and bowls (of the quinoa and salad variety). Each item has a little twist that takes it from standard to satisfying, often found in the sauce. Several menu stand-outs include the meatball sub, made with chorizo and beef, complemented by a sweet red sauce (there's also a vegetarian version); as well as the sweet potato and black bean quinoa. Unwind Wine Bar 3435 Michigan Ave., Hyde Park This expansive indoor and outdoor space around the corner from Hyde Park Square has fused an upscale-casual ambiance with a wide selection of New World and Old World wines and small plates that complement the drinks. All of the food is either vegetarian or vegan (the owners are vegan). With choices such as crostini, flatbread, warm olives, cheeses and a hummus sampler, along with a few desserts, theres enough for a light meal  or at least some satisfying bites to accompany your wine. The Whole Bowl 364 Ludlow Ave., Clifton This is the perfect spot for people who dont like to make decisions, since Whole Bowl offers one menu item. While there is an easy vegan alternative, Whole Bowls titular dish is comprised of brown rice, beans, black olives, cheddar, avocado slices, salsa, sour cream and a lemon-garlic sauce. Northside Yacht Club 4231 Spring Grove Ave., Northside A loosely nautically themed and ironically landlocked Rock club from two local music and mixology veterans, the Northside Yacht Club is all fun. Lay down a base layer with a bar-food menu that features veggie-conscious eats like their popular cauliflower wings, tofu tendies, vegetarian or vegan mac and cheese, fried broccoli or the creature fries. Rollin Bowls Find upcoming truck locations online Rollin Bowls is a plant-based food truck with Monica Meier in the drivers seat. Meier made the switch to living a fully plant-based lifestyle several years ago and says it dramatically impacted her health and energy. The most popular menu item is the Dynamite Bowl  a crunchy and colorful blend of veggies with teriyaki-marinated soy tenders over a bed of fluffy long-grain rice.
