Easter is on the horizon — Sunday, April 4 to be exact — and while some are celebrating the resurrection of Christ, others of us will be stuffing our faces with candy.
And if you've ever wondered what Ohio's most popular Easter treat is, career search website Zippia (a business that really has no business concerning itself with this kind of information) has done a little research for you.
Using Google Trends, the site figured out which candy each state eats the most. "We defined Easter treats as treats that peak in search volume around Easter," they write. "From there, we determined what treat is searched a disproportionately high amount in each state."
According to the results, Ohio's favorite treat is slightly odd and very specific: Starburst jelly beans.
Although it's not as weird as Illinois' favorite: hard-boiled eggs. Eggs actually seem to be a favorite across the middle of America — at least in 14 states.
Other Easter basket must-haves: Peeps, Cabury cream eggs and chocolate bunnies. And in New York, they like "Kinder Easter Eggs" the most; they're those chocolate eggs with tiny toys inside.
