Cincy-based grilled cheese chain Tom & Chee has announced plans to open a new location on the East Side this fall. The restaurant will be located inside Anderson Towne Center at 7578 Beechmont Ave., Suite 501, and is slated to open in November.

The local chain has four other locations across Greater Cincinnati, spanning from Newport to the northern 'burbs of West Chester and Mason. This will be their first eatery on the East Side.

Tom & Chee's journey began in 2009 with a food tent on Fountain Square and they were featured on ABC's Shark Tank in 2013. The restaurant chain now boasts 12 total stores across the United States; this will be their 13th.

Well-known for their handcrafted grilled cheeses, soups, salads and grilled cheese donuts, the fast-casual eatery offers a creative take on comfort food. The Anderson Township location will roll out the brand's new interior design and décor, featuring 45 interior seats and 20 exterior seats. The refreshed design follows the restaurant's new menu launch in early 2019, which introduced a variety of new melts to their offerings.

“Guests who know and love Tom & Chee will notice an updated look and feel when they walk in the door,” said Roger David, president and CEO of Tom & Chee’s parent company, GSR Brands, in a press release. “Our team has elevated the décor with a sophisticated color palette, wood tones and new messaging that highlights our dedication to making handcrafted, quality melts for each guest.”

The restaurant will offer dine-in, carry-out, delivery and catering.
