Gastropub chain Bar Louie closed its last two Cincinnati locations in Oakley and Anderson over the weekend.

Bar Louie closed down its Newport on the Levee location in May 2019, after serving the city for 17 years.

The Anderson and Oakley locations both had their last day of operation on Jan. 25 and posted the same announcement on their respective Facebook pages.

"To our loyal guests, our last day of business was January 25th, 2020. Please go to www.barlouie.com/locations to find the Bar Louie nearest to you. Thanks for the memories!" the post reads.

The abrupt closure was not specific to the Cincinnati area — there have been reports of several closures in the Washington, D.C. and Dayton areas as well. There are two locations still open in Ohio, both in the Greater Columbus area.

The restaurant/bar was well-known for its $1 build-your-own burger nights, its extensive beer and wine menus and its nightlife.
