Some voodoo brewing magic is heading to the Queen City.

Meadville, Pennsylvania-based Voodoo Brewing Company announced on social media this week that one of their brewpubs will be opening in Cincinnati this summer. The brewery/brewpub, which has locations throughout Pennsylvania and seven other states – including another Ohio location in Cleveland – is expected to open mid-July at 120 E. Eighth St. downtown, Cincinnati owner Chris Sands tells CityBeat.

“Voodoo Cincy is thrilled to become an active member of the Queen City and will be an exciting addition to its surrounding communities and the Greater Southwestern Ohio area,” the company wrote.

Voodoo Brewing says in addition to their award-winning artisan beer, hand-crafted cocktails and food, Cincinnati guests will also enjoy the eclectic pub atmosphere they’re well-known for.

“Throughout Voodoo Brewing Company’s 16 year history, we've always been driven by our commitment to offering great beer, quirky personalities, and a warm atmosphere wherever we go,” the company said.

Voodoo Brewing offers a range of beers for all tastes. These include year-round offerings like their West Coast IPA, Good Vibes, and sour, green Berliner Weisse Lacto-Kooler, as well as seasonal brews like June Gloom, a Bavarian-style hefeweizen, and Beach Gear, a blonde ale crafted with apricots.

As for food, a menu has not been dropped yet, but according to Voodoo Brewing’s franchising website, their executive chef, Nate Cillo, designs and imagines each menu with the community in mind, incorporating local ingredients and Voodoo beer into the dishes. (Cincinnati-style chili with a Voodoo Love Child? We could go for it.)
