Walnut Hills' Landlocked Social House Hosts Steamed Bun Pop Up Aug. 6

As a part of their 'Monday Night Pop Ups' series, local chefs are serving up Mantou (steamed buns)

Walnut Hills' Landlocked Social House is a place where craft coffee and craft beer collide. The shop has become a recent staple in the neighborhood for a place to grab something to sip and bite with locally sourced pastries, sandwiches and bagels. 

Over the past year, the coffee/craft beer shop has made a new name for itself through their "Monday Night Pop Ups" series. The weekly event brings local chefs and businesses into the spotlight to create something that they may not ordinarily be able to offer at their restaurants. Past events have offered dishes like Indian (inspired) street food, bahn mi, chalupas, Korean hot chicken and more. 

This week's offering is from Zach Leetch and Craig Radden, sous chefs at Over-the-Rhine's Sartre, who frequently host Landlocked Social House's pop up events. They will whip up Mantou, a fluffy cloud-like steamed bun stuffed with things like pork or veggies. There will be two steamed bun options to choose from: Char Siu pork belly with pickled carrots, ramps, purple daikon and chive oil, and Char Siu mushrooms as a vegetarian option. 

The pop-ups are first-come, first-served and go until food runs out.
